Absconding cases against overstaying tourists

If the visitor is accused of absconding, he/she should clarify the case with the agent who issued his/her visa or the sponsor. Then, fines must be paid so the case can be withdrawn.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a popular destination for both tourists and expatriates, with a diverse and multicultural population. However, there are several legal issues that can arise for those living and working in the country, including absconding, immigration, and police cases. The tourists in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) who have overstayed their visit visas are being prosecuted in absconding cases.

Absconding is when an employee leaves their job without informing their employer or without completing their notice period. This can have serious consequences, including being banned from working in the UAE for a period of time. To remove an absconding case, the employee must first resolve any outstanding issues with their previous employer and obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from them. This NOC can then be presented to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MOHRE), who will review the case and make a decision.

If a tourist does not leave the country within one days after their visas have expired, they are also at risk of being blacklisted and banned from entering the UAE or any other Gulf Cooperation Council country.
