🕌 Islamic Ziyarat in Syria

1️⃣ Damascus (Capital of Islamic Heritage)

Umayyad Mosque (Great Mosque of Damascus)

Sayyidah Ruqayyah Shrine

  • Features: Beautiful golden dome, mosque complex, and halls for prayer and mourning rituals.

Sayyidah Zaynab Shrine

  • Identity: Granddaughter of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, daughter of Imam Ali (A.S.) and Bibi Fatimah (R.A.).
  • Significance: Central pilgrimage destination, particularly during Muharram, Safar, and Arbaeen.
  • Features: Large mosque complex, historical inscriptions, and ceremonial halls for majlis (gatherings).
